live the Gospel

serve with zeal

adventure in faith

The Frassati Project is revitalizing the model of youth ministry, bringing excitement and life into parishes and regions that desperately need mentorship, accompaniment, and missionary witness for their teens.

Is God calling you to join our team?

What does life as

a Frassati Project

missionary look like?

Our missionaries run youth groups and provide mentorship and accompaniment to local teens, serve the homeless, build authentic Christian community for local young adults, and participate in a formation program which gives them a foundation of human and spiritual formation from which to enter into their life’s vocation beyond The Frassati Project.

Frassati Project missionaries commit to a minimum of one to two years of service to walk alongside teens in relational ministry, helping them to know their identities as sons and daughters of God and inviting them into a life with Christ.

Our formation program includes weekly intellectual formation in a classroom setting, spiritual direction, regular meetings with a mentor, and several retreats and adventure outings throughout the year.

Sounds cool…

missionaries do?

what do the

  • Once per week, missionaries will facilitate Summit - an engaging youth group gathering involving high-energy games and activities, a leader’s testimony, and Lectio Divina & small group.

  • This is where the real relationship building happens. Contact work is when our missionaries and volunteers go out to encounter the teens on their own turf - going to their sports events, performances and plays, etc.

Contact work also includes inviting teens to coffee or lunch, throwing a frisbee at a local park, going to parish events together - any wholesome activity where friendships are built.

  • Each month we host a “Lord’s Day” community potluck. This is a monthly event where young adults are invited to share a meal and enter into authentic, intentional, and purposeful Christian community.

Missionaries are also invited to express their own creativity in planning and running larger young adults community events throughout the year, such as a “Resurrection Party” after the Easter Vigil, a “Spring Fling” community dance, etc.

  • Missionaries will receive several retreat experiences each year, including:

    -Annual Frassati Project leaders retreat

    -4-Day Silent Retreat

    -SEEK Conference

-Discernment Retreat (each missionary will be required to attend a discernment retreat for a diocesan seminary or religious order)

    -Summer Wilderness Excursion

Applications for the next program year

(starting August 2026) are due May 1, 2026

APPLY NOW

There is no formal commitment if you apply, it’s simply part of the discernment process!

  1. Pray. If you’re interested, ask Jesus what He thinks.

  2. Apply. Fill out the application and send your resume & cover letter to admin@missionhousedenver.org

    1. Pray again. Applying is part of the discernment process. What stirred in your heart during and after applying?

  3. Connect. Talk to our staff about your application when we reach out. Ask any questions you have about the program, missionary life, formation, etc. Stakes here are low, it’s just a conversation for us to get to know each other and answer your questions - no big deal.

  4. Interview. Keep praying, and if you have peace with moving forward (and if we do too) we’ll schedule a formal interview - interviews are formal, but still fairly low-key. We’ll ask you some questions and it will be another opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have.

    1. Pray more (you get the pattern now). If we think it’s a good fit, we’ll offer you a position on our team - woohoo!

  5. Make a decision. Let us know if you’re in or out - again, no pressure, we just want what God wants for you. If you decide to join the team, amazing! If not, we’ll keep praying for ya anyway!

  6. Mission Support Raising. Each of our missionaries will have an individual fundraising goal of $15,000 to help cover the costs of our program (it costs over $40,000 per year to support each of our missionaries!)

    1. Don’t worry, we’ll give you lots of training and support!

  7. Missionary Training - it’s go time! In the beginning of August, you’ll move into Mission House Denver and begin formation, and your mission outreach will begin soon after!
